1. About TrustChekr

TrustChekr is a free, online scam detection and fraud awareness platform operated by 17734344 Canada Inc., a federally incorporated Canadian corporation ("we," "us," "our," or "TrustChekr"). Our registered business number is 700267768.

TrustChekr provides automated risk assessments, educational content, fraud awareness resources, a chat-based scam analysis assistant, data breach checking, romance scam detection, community scam reporting, scam alert subscriptions, and a newsletter. Our services are designed to help users make more informed decisions about potentially fraudulent content they encounter online or via telecommunications.

2. Nature of the Service — Important Limitations

Risk assessments are generated using automated pattern matching, open-source intelligence databases, and artificial intelligence analysis. These assessments reflect a point-in-time analysis and may change as new information becomes available.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use TrustChekr only for lawful purposes. You may NOT use TrustChekr to:

• • Submit other people's personal information (Social Insurance Numbers, passwords, full credit card numbers, health information) through the scanner
• • Harass, dox, stalk, defame, or threaten any individual or organization
• • Conduct unauthorized security testing, penetration testing, or vulnerability scanning against our infrastructure
• • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from our platform
• • Circumvent rate limits, access controls, or other security measures
• • Submit false or misleading scam reports
• • Use our API or data for commercial purposes without written authorization
• • Scrape, crawl, or systematically download content from our platform
• • Impersonate TrustChekr, its affiliates, or its employees

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access for any user who violates these terms, without notice.

4. User-Submitted Content

Scan queries: When you submit content for scanning (URLs, messages, phone numbers, email addresses, cryptocurrency wallet addresses), that content is processed in real-time and sent to third-party security databases for analysis. Scan queries are not stored by TrustChekr beyond the duration of the request.

Scam reports: When you submit a scam report, you grant TrustChekr a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, store, display, and share that report for the purpose of fraud prevention, public education, and improving our detection capabilities. You represent that the information in your report is truthful and submitted in good faith.

Screenshots: Screenshots uploaded for analysis are processed entirely within your web browser. Image data is NOT transmitted to our servers or any third party. Text extracted from screenshots via optical character recognition (OCR) is processed locally on your device.

Academy progress: Your progress through our educational modules is stored locally on your device using browser localStorage. We do not track or store your educational progress on our servers.

5. Accuracy and Reliability

TrustChekr makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate risk assessments, but we do not warrant or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any assessment.

False negatives: A "Low Risk" or "Safe" assessment does not guarantee that the subject is legitimate. New scam infrastructure may not yet appear in security databases.

False positives: A "High Risk" or "Very Likely Scam" assessment does not guarantee that the subject is fraudulent. Shared hosting, recently registered domains, and other factors may trigger elevated risk scores for legitimate entities.

TrustChekr's risk assessments are one data point among many. Users should exercise independent judgment, verify information through official channels, and consult qualified professionals for legal, financial, or security decisions.

6. Third-Party Services and Links

TrustChekr integrates with third-party security databases and may display links to external websites, including government agencies, law enforcement resources, and security product providers.

We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party service or website. The inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement.

Affiliate relationships: TrustChekr may recommend security products through affiliate partnerships. These recommendations are clearly identified. We earn commissions on qualifying purchases at no additional cost to users. Affiliate relationships do not influence our risk assessments.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, software, algorithms, designs, educational materials, and trademarks on TrustChekr are the property of 17734344 Canada Inc. or its licensors and are protected by Canadian and international intellectual property laws.

You may share individual scan results and educational content for personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our platform or its components without prior written consent.

Several core technologies powering TrustChekr are the subject of pending patent applications.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TrustChekr, 17734344 Canada Inc., and its directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with: (a) your use of the service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; or (d) any content you submit through the platform.

10. Disclaimers Specific to Risk Assessments

• • No guarantee of scam detection. TrustChekr may fail to detect scams, phishing attempts, malware, or other threats. New threats emerge daily and may not be present in any security database.
• • No guarantee against false accusations. A risk assessment flagging content as suspicious or high-risk is not an accusation of criminal activity. Risk scores reflect automated pattern analysis, not human judgment or investigation.
• • Not a background check service. TrustChekr does not verify identities, conduct background investigations, or provide credit reporting services.
• • Not a replacement for professional advice. For matters involving significant financial transactions, legal disputes, or personal safety concerns, consult a qualified professional.
• • Educational content is general information. Our academy modules, articles, and guides are provided for general educational purposes. Laws, regulations, and scam tactics vary by jurisdiction and change over time.

11. Service Availability

TrustChekr is provided free of charge. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without prior notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Ontario, sitting in the City of Toronto.

13. Dispute Resolution

Before initiating any legal proceedings, you agree to first contact us in writing to attempt to resolve any dispute informally. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve complaints within 30 business days.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

15. Modifications to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of TrustChekr after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
